Through precise strength calculations and more precise strength requirements, safety margins when calculating material thickness can be reduced and thus material can be saved. This is increasingly done with the help of numerical methods such as the finite element method (FEM), but also through dynamic simulations for more precise component dimensioning in moving systems. Our own studies show a savings potential of up to 20% in the design of tools, devices or machines. The use of these techniques makes it possible to significantly increase material efficiency while ensuring the performance and quality of products.
