As β1 of the first drawing stage decreases, the limiting drawing ratio βn max increases in the following draws.

At the maximum draw ratio β1 of the first drawing stage, the maximum overall drawing ratio β tot is achieved.27

The limiting drawing ratio β100 refers to a punch diameter of 100 mm. If there are deviations from this diameter, this ratio must be corrected in order to correctly calculate the maximum draw ratio.8
